The Fourth Hike Wine & Dine began at Candy Mountain this year on October 6, 2018 at 4:15 sharp!
The Tri-Cities got much needed rain in the morning and lots of it. By afternoon it had subsided and, in fact, we had blue skies to start the hike.
Of the 23 signed up, 16 were present at the trailhead. One hiked Badger by mistake, three waited patiently at the winery and three were not able to make it.
With the DSC banner in tow we hiked 1.7 miles to the top for the panoramic view of Badger to Rattlesnake and beyond, very stunning. We trekked somewhat faster the mile and a half down the mountain to travel to Kitzke Cellars, where we were greeted by our gracious hostesses. CG Public had set up a beautiful buffet of hot appetizers and the wine tasting, feasting and frivolity began with a beautiful sunset on the patio of Kitzke.
It was a great way to jumpstart the DSC 2018-19 ski season with a little exercise, wine, food and friends. Thanks to all who participated!
