The pot of Gold has moved to the Hoodoo Ski Area, which sits on the summit of Oregon's Santiam Pass. Founded in 1938, Hoodoo is Central Oregon's original ski area. The Ski Area offers more than 800 acres of terrain, 34 runs, 5 lifts. Terrain: Expert, 40%, lntermediate 30%, Beginner 30%. The annual snowfall is 450 inches.

Sisters Inn & Suites is 20 miles from Hoodoo Ski Resort and is within walking distance to the main part of Sisters. The lnn has a next-door bar and restaurant for those with short legs. Each ski day, be on the lookout for Hoodoo Mascot HAROLD HODAG.

With over 300 inches (that’s 25+ feet!) of average annual snowfall and a vertical rise of 2738 feet, Copper Mountain is the Desert Ski & Snowboard Club’s premier destination in 2023 Nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. 24 lifts get you out there on over 140 trails catering to all skill levels (21% beginner, 25% intermediate, 36% advanced, 18% expert). This is a ski-in/ski-out condo in the center of the base Village.

Wow, what an exciting adventure we had on the Yakima River. It was float, paddle, sink, or swim. And a few folks tried a little of each! The trip was quite an adventure with beautiful scenery, cool clear water, adrenalizing rapids, suspense, danger and excitement all wrapped together.

We arrived in Cle Elum Friday afternoon and enjoyed a walk along the streets of historic downtown. The cool mountain air was a real treat after baking in the heat back home. After strolling the streets and scouting a few watering holes we all met back at the motel for a traditional group beer/wine/pizza party. Some of us followed that up with by a refreshing (56 degrees) mini pub-crawl.

In the morning we awoke to near perfect weather with clear, blue skies and very comfortable cool temperatures. We went out for breakfast, checked out of the motel, and rallied at the junction of Teanaway Creek and the Yakima River.
