Host: Jay Reinhardt, 509-521-5956, recognizable by the baby blue ski jacket and the brightly colored ribbons hanging from his helmet.

When to meet: Meet 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM.

Where to meet:  Meet in the open area halfway between the ticket building and the main lodge.  This location is shown as a "X" in the image at the bottom of this page. Look for a group standing together (per social distancing guidelines).  If in doubt, shout "Desert Ski Club!".  If the group waves back, you found us.

Lift Tickets: BUY ONLINE FEBRUARY 20th !  Mission Ridge makes each week's tickets available for purchase only one week in advance, on Saturdays.  They will sell out for the dates of our event -- probably on the same day the tickets become available -- so buy your tickets on February 20th when they first become available.

  • If you have an Indy Pass, you must reserve your ticket in advance online at: Mission Ridge Indy Pass Reservations.  Mission Ridge limits the number of Indy Passes allowed each day, so if you do not reserve in advance you will not be able to get a ticket.
  • If you have a season pass at a reciprocal resort like Bluewood: obtain your ticket onsite. The resort assures us that they will honor reciprocal seasons passes without a reservation, since it is not possible to reserve these online.
  • If you have none of the above, buy your ticket in advance online at: Single Day Lift Tickets

    Where to stay:
    TBD.

    What to expect:
COVID-driven operating conditions at ski resorts vary, but typically include:

  • No lift ticket sales at the resort.  Buy online in advance.
  • If you have an Indy Pass or a season pass at a reciprocal resort, bring your pass to the outdoor ticket window at the resort to obtain your free lift ticket.
  • No indoor seating.  Dining is grab and go.  Limited outdoor seating so, "Your car is your lodge".
  • No changing areas.  No lockers. "Your car is your lodge."
  • Portable toilets in the parking lot, carefully controlled access to restrooms in the lodge.  Bring your hand sanitizer.
  • Lifts: groups that drove together can ride the lift together.  Singles have the option to ride the lift by themselves, or in the case of a quad chair, can opt to ride with a stranger sitting on the other side of the chair.  Groups of two and three will ride together but with no one else.
  • Expect ski rentals to take significantly longer than usual.
  • The only time you DON'T have to wear a mask is while skiing or eating.  The mask goes on before you get out of your car and only comes off while you are actively moving downhill, or sitting at a table eating.

A day or two before the event, be sure to check the ski resort website, as conditions may change:  Mission Ridge Operating Conditions

Don't let this year's operating conditions keep you off the slope -- the skiing itself will be just as fun.  Snow doesn't care about COVID!

Meet at the spot shown with an "X"  below.
