About Val Gardena
Val Gardena
is one of the premier ski destinations in the Italian Dolomites. The ski area is in the larger Dolomiti Superski region and gives skiers access to extensive terrain across the Dolomites. Val Gardena is part of the Sellaronda,121 miles of skiing and 191 lifts in four valleys that circle the Sella Masif. This one of the most famous ski routes in the world.
Sprinkled across the resorts ski slopes are rifugios (mountain refreshment huts), terraces, bars, and restaurants where you can sample Italian food, drink, and culture while soaking up spectacular Alpine scenery.
Accommodations
We'll be staying at the Hotel Antares, located near the lifts in the village of Selva Val Gardena. Breakfast and five dinners are included in the accommodations, as is the norm in the Italian Alps.
Transportation
The DSC Trip Coordinator will help coordinate flights from Pasco to rendezvous with the FWSA in Europe for those who wish to travel together with the DSC. The FWSA has arranged flights leaving from major Western hub cities that rendezvous in Europe, so that is another option.
Lift Tickets
Val Gardena on the Ikon Pass since it is one of the Dolomiti Superski resorts. You can ski seven days free on the Ikon Pass and five days on the Ikon Base Pass. No Ikon Pass? A six-day lift ticket will cost about $420 (Senior) or $470 (Adult).
