With over 4,300 acres of lift-accessible terrain, you won't want to pass up a trip to the ski resort with the highest skiable elevation in all of Oregon and Washington.  Mt. Bachelor, located on the eastern flanks of Oregon's Central Cascades, is known for its dependable light, dry snow and diverse terrain.  Where else can you ski down all sides of a volcano, and its crater as well.  As a plus, home base for our trip is Bend, Oregon, with great dining and nightlife.

Best of all, Mt. Bachelor is legendary for its late season snow dumps, giving it great spring skiing with lots of bluebird days.  Its ski season lasts until the end of May!

On Saturday we plan to ski Hoodoo.  This is a friendly, less expensive resort with plenty of great terrain.

You can ski with us Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday. We'll meet each day for lunch and après ski, then check out Bend's cosmopolitan restaurant scene for dinner.  Friday night will be our infamous McMenamins pub crawl.

Our plan is to ski Mt. Bachelor on Friday, Hoodoo on Saturday, and Mt. Bachelor on Sunday.  Mt. Bachelor is on the Ikon Pass and Hoodoo is on the Indy Pass.  Since this is a meetup you have complete flexibility on when and where you ski.

Costs:
This is a ski club meetup, meaning you pay direct for your own transportation, accommodations and lift tickets.  Social events are dutch treat.

The trip leader will arrange carpools and shared accommodations for those interested.

Social Events:
Lunch, après ski, and dinner Friday and Saturday.  Farewell lunch on Sunday. All dutch treat.

Transportation:
Bend is a five hour drive from the Tri-Cities.  Drive yourself or contact the trip leader for carpooling.  Carpool gas costs are shared equally between the passengers and the driver. If you are interested in carpooling let the trip leader know.

Accommodations:

We'll be staying in Mt. Bachelor Village Resort condos overlooking the Deschutes River canyon, convenient to both skiing and city restaurants. Price for three nights at these condos is about $350.  There are accommodations that are significantly less expensive if you prefer. Sign up on the Interest List and the trip leader will contact you to arrange accommodations for you.

Lift tickets:
If you have an Ikon Pass Mt. Bachelor is free. If you have an Indy Pass Hoodoo is free.

If you don't have an Ikon Pass, then Mt. Bachelor's Spring Pass is your best option if you will be skiing Bachelor three days.  The cost has not been announced but the cost will probably be about $350 for adults, and $200 for seniors.  For less than three days of skiing, you'll want to buy daily lift tickets.  For Bachelor lift ticket options, see the Mt. Bachelor lift ticket website.

If you don't have an Indy Pass, then a Hoodoo daily lift ticket costs about $75 for adults and $40 for seniors.

Additional details about the trip, including when and where to meet for skiing and for social events, will be provided later via email to those on the Interest List.
