Practice Registration for Trips

Use this fake trip website to practice signing up for ski trips. 
There is no cost, and no penalty for making mistakes. If you need assistance with the registration process, call Jay Reinhardt at 509-521-5956.

Tips for Registering for Desert Ski Cub Trips

  • To register for trips, you need to be a paid-up member of the ski club and be logged in to the Club website.
  • Consider printing this page for reference during the registration process.
  • Generally, the most expensive trips fill up first.  So, if you will be registering for multiple trips consider registering in order of cost.
  • Decide in advance which trips and which trip options you want, to save time during registration.  All the trips and their options with prices are currently available on our website.
  • Try logging onto our club website at least a day in advance to ensure that you can do that.  Ensure you have renewed your membership.
  • If a trip fills up by the time you try to register for it, select the “Wait List” button to be put on the trip’s wait list.  When we see people on a wait list, we endeavor to expand the trip if possible to accommodate them.  Also, vacancies usually open up on trips due to cancellations. Last year we were able to accommodate almost everyone on a wait list.


Trip Registration Instructions

  1. Be sure you login to the club website using your member username and password before proceeding with this instructions.
  2. Find the trip in the Upcoming Events section.  Click on the trip name to go to the trip's webpage.
  3. Review the trip description, then look for a section entitled Number of People Who Will Attend.  The section looks like this:  

    Note: the image above is just a picture -- scroll down farther on this webpage to find the actual section you will use to register for this trip. If you cannot find this section down below the probable cause is that you are not logged into the club website.  Failing to log in is the most common error made when trying to register for trips.


    You begin the registration process by selecting how many people you are registering using the buttons in the Number of People Who Will Attend section near the bottom of the trip webpage. How you proceed with registration depends on who you are registering.  See options below.

 

    Option #1: Registering Only Yourself:

    1. Click on the "+" sign next to Members* to change the "0" to "1".
    2. Then click on the Register Now button.
    3. You are now on the "Event Registration - Basic Info" page.  Be sure Sign up yourself is selected then click Next.
    4. You are now on the "Event Registration - Items" page. Select the trip options you want and deselect the options you don't want, then click Next.
    5. If you are now on a page called "Event Registration - Additional Information" page, then answer the question(s) on this page and click Next.  Not all trips have this page -- some immediately skip ot the next step.
    6. You are now on the "Event Registration - Summary" page.  Carefully review the information on this page to ensure it is correct.  If it is not correct, click the Back button to go back and correct the information.  If the information is correct, click on the Complete Registration button.
    7. For trips that require a payment, a "Make Payment for" page will appear.  Review the information on this page then make payment.  Finish by clicking the Submit Payment button.
    8. You have now successfully registered yourself for the trip.

 

    Option #2: Registering Yourself and Someone Else:

    1. Click on the "+" sign next to Members* to change the "0" to "1".
    2. If you are signing up another member:
      - Click on the "+" sign next to Member Guest - another member to change the "0" to "1".
      Then click on the Register Now button.  This will take you to the "Event Registration - Basic Info" page.
      Next to Member Guest 1 click Select Member. 
      - In the Select Member Guest
      window that pops up type the first few letters of your guest's last name and click the Search button.  Their name will appear in the Search Results field. Click on their name and then click the Select button.
      - Be sure Sign up yourself is selected then click Next.
      - Go to Step #4 in these instructions.
    3. If you are signing up non-member:
      - Click on the "+" sign next to Member Guest - a non member to change the "0" to "1". This is in addition to having already performed Step #1 above.

      lick on the Register Now button.  This will take you to the "Event Registration - Basic Info" page.
      Make no changes to this page.  Click Next.

      Enter the name and email address of your guest.  If you don't know their email address you can put your own email address. Click Next.
    4. You are now on the "Event Registration - Items" page. Select the trip options you want and deselect the options you don't want for yourself, then do the same for the options for your guest.  Then click Next.
    5. If you are now on a page called "Event Registration - Additional Information" page, then answer the question(s) on this page and click Next.  Not all trips have this page -- some immediately skip to the next step.
    6. You are now on the "Event Registration - Summary" page.  Carefully review the information on this page to ensure it is correct.  If it is not correct, click the Back button to go back and correct the information.  If the information is correct, click on the Complete Registration button.
    7. For trips that require a payment, a "Make Payment for" page will appear.  Review the information on this page then make payment.  Finish by clicking the Submit Payment button.
    8. You have now successfully registered for the trip.


You will not be charged a fee for completing registration on this fake trip, nor will you be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel registration on this fake trip.


After reading the instructions above, go to the Number of People Who Will Attend section below to begin the registration process for this trip.
