Wenatchee Water Whitewater Rafting with Wine Tasting & Picnic!!

Join the Desert Ski Club for some whitewater rafting action on the Wenatchee River combined with wine tasting, a picnic, and an overnight stay in downtown Wenatchee!
We’ll be carpooling up to Wenatchee Friday afternoon and checking into our rooms at the Best Western Chieftain Inn. Then we’ll head downtown and visit a couple of tasting rooms to sample some of the fine wines available from local wineries. Afterwards, Art Moore and Patti West (long-time DSC members/supporters) have graciously offered to host a picnic for us at their nearby home in Wenatchee.
The next morning we’ll drive 30 mins upriver to Leavenworth to raft the Wenatchee River with Orion River Rafting. Orion is a full service, professional river outfitter that has been guiding whitewater trips out of Leavenworth for 45 years (rated #1 by Trip Advisor for Wenatchee River rafting). Orion’s rafting trip will include everything you’ll need --- wetsuit, wetsuit booties, spray jackets, helmets, all necessary river gear, courtesy shuttle between start and finish and, always, a competent, personable, safety-first river guide. We’ll raft a series of Class II-III rapids from Leavenworth downstream to Cashmere which is roughly 14 miles in length with 2 - 3.5 hours on the water.
At the end of the rafting trip we’ll rally somewhere in Wenatchee for a lunch break (on your own dime) and then head home. For those who would like to extend their trip and pay for an additional night, rooms will be available at the Chieftain Inn at our discounted group rate.
The per person cost for the trip is $230 which includes a picnic, lodging with free hot breakfast (based on 2 people per room), whitewater rafting, and guide tips. There will be a separate fee for wine tasting, but fees are waived if you purchase a bottle of wine. For those who don’t need lodging the price is $140. And if you just want to get out of town and explore Wenatchee and Leavenworth the price with lodging but no rafting is $95.
