Sure, we've skied Red Mountain before. This time we are doing a HOSTEL takeover!
Red Mountain Resort has FIVE peaks, 3,850 acres (one of the top 10 largest in North America), 3,000 feet of vert, 8 lifts, 119 runs, 300” of snowfall, and $10/run in-bounds cat skiing! Rip tree runs, float the big powdery glades, or cruise some of the sweetest groomers in the West. Another fun fact? #1 in most acres per skier in North America. Tired of being forced to hit the brakes because somebody is in your way? Not at Red. Base is a crisp 3,887’ and the summit is 6,807’.
The Nowhere Special Hostel is NEW and a short two-minute walk from the chair with amenities above and beyond. DSC has reserved 4, 8-person dorm “rooms.” Each lockable room has 4 twin bunk beds and shared bathroom space. The hostel has a ton of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces as well as a kitchen that will make even Matty Matheson sweat with desire.
Border crossing rules are a bit complicated, and may change, but here’s the high spots: COVID 19 restrictions are lifted! if you've had some troubles with the law (e.g., a DWI within the last ten years), be sure you are admissible. Passport or WA Enhanced ID required.

- R/T bus transportation, with a full complement of ski-centric movies and pithy commentary from the trip leader to keep you entertained.
- Depart mid-day from the Richland Safeway at Gage on Thursday, return from Red Mountain mid-afternoon on Sunday.
