Free Mountain Tours
Yeah, you read that right. You don't have to drop the big bucks to get the knowledge of RED local. Red’s FREE Snow Hosts will show you the best places on the mountain for your skill level and desired terrain.

Canada COVID Requirements
*You need two doses of vaccine (or one of J&J) and a vaccine card to get across the border.
*You need a negative COVID test that was taken less than 72 hours before crossing the border. Home tests don't count.
*You need register at the ArriveCAN website or app in advance, and upload your vaccine card, your passport or enhanced driver's license, and recent negative COVID test results.
*Once in Canada you will need to show a vaccine card to get inside nearly anywhere you want to go - bars, restaurants… Masking is stricter than anywhere in the States.

Friday: Apres-ski drink and appetizers (on the DSC house) at Rafters Bar at the resort, “Voted Best in the West #1 apres-ski spot in the world by Powder Bleeping Magazine”, followed by dinner at The Flying Steam Shovel (https://theflyingsteamshovel.com/).
Saturday: Apres-ski meeting, no host, at Rafters Bar at the resort,, followed by dinner at Idgie’s Fine Food (https://www.idgiesrestaurant.com)
If you will be attending, be sure to register in advance. Registering for the event:
- Lets us know how many are coming so we can plan accordingly
- Provides the funds to buy a round of drinks and appetizers on Friday night as well as some trip schwag
- Allows us to coordinate carpooling and accommodations for those who want this service

Friday Apre-ski (beer and appetizers) at Rafters and dinner at The Flying Steamshovel; and Saturday Apre-ski at Rafters, no host, and a schwag bag for a total of $30 payable to the Desert Ski Club through the registration process on this website.
Transportation:
Drive yourself or carpool. Carpool gas costs are shared equally between the passengers and the driver. Round trip distance between the Tri-Cities and Red, including the commute to/from accommodations and the resort, is ~550 miles.
- When you register for the event you will have the option to have the Desert Ski Club help arrange a carpool for you, respecting your COVID precaution preferences.
Accommodations:
We recommend the Prestige Mountain Resort in Rossland, the town nearest to the resort. Rooms with one or two beds start at $159 CD + taxes and fees per day. There are only 67 rooms at the Prestige, and the cheaper rooms fill first, so book as soon as possible.
- When you register for the event you will have the option to have the Desert Ski Club help arrange a roommate (same sex) for you, respecting your COVID precaution preferences.
Lift tickets:
Adult (Age 18-69): $122 cd per day (~$100USD @ exchange rate on 9/14/21)
Senior (Age 65+): $TBD per day
We recommend you buy lift tickets online in advance.
Red Mountain honors the IKON pass.
